The last few days of fashion week have been wonderful for independent Canadian designers. The team at Magnet Creative along with The Drake Hotel set up a fantastic and intimate fashion show. The spotlight fell on two of our amazing designers in Carrie Hayes (debuting her S/S 2011 collection, The Paddock) and Caitlin Power, showcasing their S/S 2011 collection. It was an amazing and successful night for them, and us.

If you thought fashion was over at the Drake, we held an exciting Sample Sale the following morning. Featuring items on sale from a slew of our designers, who were also present during this event. Thanks to Paris Li, Nella Bella, Caitlin Power, Carrie Hayes, and Zoran Dobric for providing us with their amazing designs.

Carrie Hayes debuted her sub-line, Paddock, yesterday night at the Drake Hotel. It was a success! 

The collection was very youthful and refreshing. There were a few interesting tie-dye pieces, especially the last blue draped cocktail dress. The asymmetry shirt collars on 2 of the pieces really caught my eyes, and I really liked this subtle design. Overall, this is a very nice debut collection and I could imagine some girls wearing some of the pieces on the street in the S/S 2011 season! Congrats to Carrie for a wonderful show!

Hard Boiled Wonderland is the theme for Breeyn McCarney's first F/W collection and there are a few pieces I am totally in love with and this is one of them. 

This plaid jacket is 100% Italian wool and I am loving the details on the sleeves. Another element that has totally caught my eyes is the embroidered flower at the back and that just gives a kick to the piece.
